OUR GALLERY IN GREENPOINT IS CLOSED AS OF 12/17/23

Calico began in 2012 as an exhibition space on the second floor of the historic Greenpoint Terminal Warehouse in Brooklyn, NY.

Today, the programming continues with a home base in Woodstock, NY, above Small Talk at 1 Tinker Street. Calico also hosts occasional pop-up exhibits, as well as co-producing some of the exhibition programming with our sister space, The Good Luck Center of the Universe, in Kittery, ME.

Calico’s core mission remains the same: To offer welcoming and accessible exhibition environments for all.

Founding Director, Scott Chasse, is a self-taught artist and arts organizer with nearly two decades of experience. Chasse’s previous projects include Greenpoint Gallery Night - an annual not-for-profit event highlighting exhibition spaces in Greenpoint, Brooklyn; The Distillery Gallery (director) in South Boston, MA; South Boston Open Studios (lead organizer); Ugly Art Room pop-up curatorial project (co-curator); Paint it Now collaborative, multi-city mural project (co-curator & organizer); and numerous public and private installations, commissions, and curatorial undertakings.
